Why We Started Hole In The Svn

Hole In The Svn was born out of a shared passion - for music, for live concerts, and for everything that happens when sound, intention, and presence collide. We are an international collective bound by a common vision, rooted primarily in extreme Metal, but also deeply connected to psychedelic, occult Rock, and other forms that operate beyond the surface.

All of us come from the music world. As bookers, self-employed professionals, long-term touring personnel, and people who have lived this industry from the inside, the idea of creating our own festival didn’t come from ambition - it came from necessity. We wanted to build something that reflects our own musical tastes, standards, and values without compromise.

Hole In The Svn was created to provide access to distinctive, high-quality events focused on occult-related Metal genres. Black Metal, Death Metal, Doom Metal - music that isn’t designed for convenience or consumption, but for confrontation, depth, and meaning. Through Hole In The Svn and in cooperation with Abyssal Booking Agency, we also organize carefully curated tours for bands that align with this vision.

But Hole In The Svn is more than a festival.

It is a manifestation of something deeply rooted in us - something difficult to fully articulate. This has never been just about music. It’s about an ethos. About raw, unfiltered energy. About art forms that transcend sound and demand presence.
